Frequently Asked Questions
We accept most major insurances. Insurance plans often cover chiropractic and other therapies utilized in our office. There are instances where insurance doesn’t cover services such as functional medicine, applied kinesiology and acupuncture. Our staff will analyze your specific plan to determine what your insurance plan covers and discuss it with you prior to treatment.
We work with our patient’s to find what works best for you. The most cost-effective option is our Custom Memberships. They allow you to customize the treatment that most benefits you for a low monthly membership fee. The best part is that these memberships can be shared between direct family members.
Acupuncture is a method developed in Traditional Chinese Medicine where very thin needles are inserted into specific areas of the body to restore homeostasis, increase blood flow, activate the body’s natural painkillers, and stimulate healing to the target tissues.
Functional Medicine is a systems-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Laboratory diagnosis is used in conjunction with other clinical tools to find what functional process is to blame for a patient’s health concerns.
Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a diagnostic system that is used to evaluate a person’s Triad of Health – Structural, Chemical, and Emotional. AK is diagnostic; it is not a treatment procedure. Dr. Travis will employ various treatment methods such as chiropractic manipulation, cranial techniques, myofascial release or trigger point therapy, acupressure, nutritional or dietary changes/counseling, exercise therapies, emotional techniques, and other procedures to help the patient restore their health.
How to Become a Patient
We treat people of all ages with hundreds of different symptoms. Whether the issue is low back pain, headaches, whiplash, or a complex hormonal condition, we always strive to treat the dysfunctional process that is to blame.
The initial visit will last one to two hours and consist of a comprehensive history, exam, and initial treatment. If any labs or need to be ordered, they will be determined during this initial visit. If X-rays are needed, they will be performed prior to treatment.
The new patient forms can be completed at the link below. Filling them out before you arrive will save you time on your first visit.
